How do I convert JFIF to WebP?

Will WebP always be smaller?

No. An already compressed source can become larger, especially at a high output quality. Compare the sizes shown for each result. If size increases without a useful improvement, keep the original or try another setting.

Can I run JFIF to WebP in bulk?

Yes, up to 50 files per batch. Each file can be up to 20 MB, with 1 GB combined input. Images can contain up to 20 megapixels, with a maximum of 16,384 pixels on either side. Combined WebP outputs are limited to 150 MB.

Does JFIF to WebP add transparency?

No. WebP supports transparency, but a JFIF source does not have an alpha channel. Its visible background remains. Use an image editor for background removal before choosing a format that supports transparency.

What if my browser cannot create WebP?

The tool checks the encoded file type and shows an error if WebP output is unavailable. Try another current browser, or use the JPG or PNG converter if your destination accepts those formats.

Will the result work in every app?
